Specification of the wedge wire screen resin trap
2017-12-11 By Lisa
UBO Wedge Wire Screen Resin Traps feature a continuous slot design that prevents the loss of ion exchange resin, activated carbon media, filter media, greensand media, sand and other media. Not only is this essential to prevent the loss of expensive material, but it’s also critical to avoid damaging downstream equipment.
However, this safety precaution will not diminish flow. UBO can manufacture resin traps to guard against your exact media particle size while also providing the flow rate your system requires.
Reliable, durable and extremely low maintenance, the non-clogging, continuous slot design allows for a large amount of open area with extremely consistent spacing. UBO can manufacture resin traps in a wide variety of materials and sizes to suit your application needs.
Typical materials of construction would be type 304 or 316 stainless steel for the screen element and the housing, or for severe conditions, we suggest that a high nickel alloy such as C-276 be considered throughout. Optionally, in less severe environments, carbon steel may be chosen for the housing and connection flanges, with coating of the interior of the housing with epoxy an additional option.
